Tour Operator Networking

Our goal to provide the most productive and meaningful virtual connections to tour companies has been challenging. While many tour operators are committed to participating, there are others who, due to reduced staff and other obstacles, won’t be able to as they have in the past. And, given the timing and uncertainly of 2021, we understand that it’s too early for companies to commit to a hiring event.

To still provide a ‘check-in’ with tour companies, registration will offer first to previously paid IATDG members** an opportunity to meet in two different formats: Perfect Pitch (a one minute pitch selling your best self to the tour operators) and The Schmooze (random assignments for short one-on-one meetings with approximately five tour operators). This is similar to what have previously been called interviews, but we thought it would be misleading, given the current environment and have opted to call it Tour Operator Networking. A fee of $20 will be requested during registration.

Registration numbers will be capped based on the number of tour operators participating. Any remaining slots available on October 21st will be made available to non-members (Friends of IATDG). As more tour operators sign up, additional slots will be opened.

Cancellation Policy:

Registration that includes Tour Operator Networking may be refunded up until October 31st. If you intend to cancel, please submit written confirmation to [email protected] prior to October 31, 2020, in order receive your refund.

If any slots remain by October 21, Tour Operator Networking registration will open to non-members (friends of IATDG) at a price of $25.

There will be no transfers of Tour Operator registration.
